Modular Healthcare Concept
or the anthroposophical Raphael Foundation, we developed and built a care housing location that makes its philosophy tangible in the building itself. We started from our orthogonal modular housing concept, but deliberately rotated the different building sections relative to each other and gave the whole a distinctive roof shape. The result is a building with a lively, organic form that connects seamlessly with the anthroposophical vision on living and care, without giving up the speed and certainty of modular construction.
The location was built according to the ThuisCare concept. Thanks to the starting point of fixed modules, which we also handled pragmatically where needed, we went through a fast design process followed by a fast and clean construction process. Turnkey and at a fixed price: including architect, permits, structural engineering advice and complete interior finishing, with no surprises afterwards.
The building has virtually no nitrogen deposition, stays pleasantly cool in summer and is nearly energy neutral. The homes have since been completed and are in use, and both residents and caregivers are visibly happy with them.
